(Single vineyard planted in 1991, 0.45 ha, 420 m, NE aspect, dry farmed bush vines, limestone soils, 60 hl/ha, 4.000 b, 10 days of extraction, first and third use 300 lts oak for 8 months) An interplay of sweet and sour elements. Cherries, strong cinnamon and liquorice along herbal notes. Expressive already with lovely oak integration - almost undetectable. Ripe but fresh and overall elegant and smooth this will be lovely with many dishes of the Mediterranean and certainly Cretan cuisine. A sound effort for understated Kotsifali from Digenakis winery.
