The second red wine released by Avantis Estate in Santorini is a blend of 90% Mandilaria and 10% Mavrotragano that has spent 9 months in oak. It is taut and backward needing time to open up and reveal more layers. There are many though. On the nose spicy and intense with pure red fruit. Tight on the palate needing time to integrate the tannic load and power. Very fresh, elegant with impressive bright acidity. Excellent aging potential.
