A note on Vostilidi also found as Goustolidi. Genetically close to Robola, mostly found in the Ionian islands of Zakynthos and Cephalonia. Α promising white variety that in the past produced oxidised wines at large but is currently redefined with focus, tension and tannic grip. Characterised by aromas of oranges and tropical fruit.
(From Lixouri in Cephalonia, low yields, spontaneous fermented, 6 months in Austrian oak, 13%). A beautifully constructed orange wine delivering orange zest and intense apricot and quince on the nose. Dense and powerful on the palate with a tannic grip along a fine line of acidity. A distinctive gastronomical wine outlining the variety's potential.
