Savatiano is an unsung Greek variety that the 'wine aristocracy' loves to hate. But in the right hands, when yields are low and especially when grapes are sourced from old vines it can tick all the boxes; complexity, depth of fruit and longevity. Stamatis Mylonas has contributed significantly to this Savatiano renaissance producing consistently a solid example of the variety. 2019 is a cracking wine with an amazingly pure nose, earthy, lemony and herbal that is followed by a very fresh palate with a strong vein of acid on the long salty finish. So much flavour and precision with just 12.5%abv.
