High altitude vineyards in Aigialeia, Peloponnese at 915m. Organic grapes from vines of 12 years old, minimal intervention, low SO2.
Lemon coloured. Nose with roses and lemon blossom along with vegetal notes. Very floral and intense but not one dimensional as there is some underlying minerality. Excellent precision on the palate, bright acidity and long finish. Textural expression as there are some phenolics giving more depth to the fruit. (Despite using only free-run juice winemaker Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos points to the very small berries used that give a sense of extract to the wine). Solid ageing potential for a superb wine.
