Anatolikos Orange 2017
Anatolikos Vineyards is the brainchild of Nikolaidis brothers continuing the very long wine tradition of Thrace. Their Orange effort is a blend of 90% Malagousia and 10% Assyrtiko which are spontaneous fermented in amphora, in contact with the skins for 270 days. Very perfumed with quince, honey and apricot scents. Structured on the palate with tannins being felt in great balance though with the sweetness of the fruit. Layered and focused this is a lovely gastronomic wine albeit overpriced.
