Avantis Syrah Collection 2011

Single vineyard Syrah in Afrati Evia from low yielding vines producing just 35 hl/ha, Collection is the most prestigious wine in the Avantis range. Macerated for 45 days and then matured in new oak for 18 months, this is dark with intense oak at this stage, along with sweet spices around a core of plums and black currants. Full- bodied with firm tannins and high fruit concentration, counter-balanced by bright acidity. Long aftertaste. Too young at this stage, will improve.
