Biblia Chora Biblinos Red 2015
(Produced from a local red variety which was found in the Mt Pangeon region, DNA testing indicated it is a Greek variety with genetic traits similar to modern Greek varieties, but it is also quite different, making it more of a distant relative, late ripening with large bunches, moderate to high tannin concentration, 2 ha, 11.000 bottles) Matured in 500 lts oak this is exotic and perfumed with cardamon, pepper and cigar box over a core of blue fruit. More to the elegant side with fresh acid and ripe cherries. Slightly bitter finish but overall distinctive and exciting. Interesting to see where this variety will go.
