Imerys Miloterra Assyrtiko 2018
In 2014, IMERYS Industrial Minerals Greece S.A. transformed a rehabilitated perlite mine in Milos Island to a new financial activity via viticulture. This was a traditional activity on the island in the 1930's. Viticultural consultant Haroula Spinthiropoulou is responsible for the project and the wine is vinified in her boutique winery in Naoussa. In August 2016, the first vine harvest was conducted at Milos’ Vineyard. 300 kilos of grapes were turned into wine!
