Kontozisis, A-Grafo Malagousia 2019

Kontozisis Organic Vineyards is an organic grower from Karditsa in Thessaly, crafting 'natural' organic wines from indigenous grapes, like Limniona, Assyrtiko and Malagousia. All grapes are harvested manually. Total production of 40,000 bottles. 

Their Malagousia is spontaneously fermented and sees extensive skin contact of approximately 25 days with no temperature control, no clarification or filtration, and bottled with no added sulfites. It is seductively floral and pure on the nose followed by a grapey palate that offers lots of pleasure while being also structured and firm. It is a fascinating wine to follow and see how it evolves.
