Makarounas Maratheftiko 2017
New winery in Paphos, Cyprus established in 2016 by oenologist Theodoros Makarounas. Medium ruby with luxurious, toasty, spicy oak on top. Underneath a core of red cherries and light floral nuances. Refined and with a light approach on palate, more silky than velvety with lovely balance. Well blended in alcohol of 14.5% abv. Would love to see it with old oak. (Clay soils in Paphos at 480 m, 0.3 hectares, 1300 bottles)
