Oenops ‘Xinomavraw’ 2018

(Percentage of whole bunches used, No SO2 added, spontaneous fermented, matured in tulip shaped concrete tank for 10 months).Third consecutive vintage for the Oenops Xinomavro which is made in a low intervention style from fruit sourced from Naoussa, Rapsani, and Goumenissa. 2019 will include also some Amyndeo fruit so it would be the ultimate Xinomavro expression based on the 4 Xinomavro PDOs. Aromatically the wine expresses the quintessential Xinomavro typicity. Just ripe red fruit, black olives, violets, and roses. Really gorgeous. Impressive on the palate delivering so much flavour with just 12.5% abv, the 2018 Xinomavraw speaks of purity, precision and elegance.
