Santorini vs The World, the ultimate battle

The concept was simple yet powerful: “Santorini vs the World” as part of Selene Vedema 2025. It featured seven top Assyrtiko wines from Santorini, facing off against six legendary labels from around the world. The goal was not to pick a winner but to explore the character of Santorini Assyrtiko and its contribution to global discussions on energy, purity, and sense of place. Building on previous matchups—Assyrtiko vs Riesling with German Master of Wine Caro Maurer and Assyrtiko vs Burgundy with Mark Andrew MW—this third masterclass expanded the range of comparisons and enriched the dialogue.
