Sigalas Mavrotragano 2014
Mavrotragano from a combination of 50 years old vines and younger close to 10 years. 15 months in new oak. One of the best vintages of Sigalas Mavrotragano I have ever tasted. Perfumed with a dense core of damson fruit. Spice and chocolatey but in equal measures. Ripe and big but with fine texture and freshness that carries nicely the fruit's intensity. An impressive red from Santorini and an exception to the mediocre reds produced in the island.
