Αυτές τις ημέρες βρίσκομαι στην Τοσκάνη ξεκινώντας από την περιοχή του Montepulciano όπου κάθε χρόνο διοργανώνεται η μεγαλύτερη έκθεση μηχανημάτων και εξοπλισμού Enovitis με προσέλευση περί τα 6000 άτομα. Μπορεί το πλαίσιο των τεχνολογιών αμπελουργίας να μην ακούγεται τόσο ρομαντικό όμως είναι άκρως εντυπωσιακό να βλέπεις πως ένας ελκυστήρας περνάει ανάμεσα στα πρέμνα δροσίζοντας το φυλλικό τοίχωμα σε παρατεταμένη ξηρασία.
Μετά από ένα πρωτοποριακό tasting που συμπαρουσίασα στο Montepulciano με τον ιδρυτή του Gambero Rosso, Daniele Cernilli και αφορούσε το καυτό θέμα της σχέσης του εδάφους και της ποιότητας του κρασιού και στο οποίο θα επανέλθω με περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες, ο δρόμος μου με έβγαλε στο ιστορικό Montalcino. Ένα από τα αγαπημένα μου οινικά χωριά στον κόσμο.
