Tsiakkas Vamvakada 2017

Vamvakada is a synonym of Maratheftiko which is the 'old guard' of Cypriot red varieties. Total plantings are 166 hectares with Tsiakkas consistently producing a delicious expression. Intense red fruit and vanilla on the nose followed by a savoury palate. Rich but not heavy with bright acidity on the long, sour cherry finish. A modern take on Maratheftiko. (tasted blind)
